Surfing America to Award the 10th Annual California Governor’s Cup at Lower Trestles Monday Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 24 June, 2010 : - - San Clemente -- Today Surfing America announced that it would keep tradition alive and award the 10th Annual State of California Governor’s Cup to first place finishers in the Boys U18 and Girls U18 Divisions at this week’s Surfing America USA Championships. The event kicked-off Wednesday, June 23 and runs through Monday, June 28 at Lower Trestles in San Onofre State Beach, CA

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 June, 2010 : - - San Clemente -- The 33rd Annual National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) National Open Championships returns to the site of its inaugural event: the Huntington Beach Pier in Surf City U.S.A. Tuesday, June 29-Saturday, July 3.

This event marks the culmination of the 2009-10 NSSA competition season drawing the country's top amateur surfers to the Southern California coast hungry to compete for a coveted National Title.

Hundreds of surfers from the NSSA's eight regional conferences in the United States will be competing over nine intense and fun-filled days with National Champions being crowned in 29 separate categories. As such, this contest provides a platform not only for NSSA's rising stars, but also for determined up-and-comers that are hungry to prove themselves in a variety of different categories.
