Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 25 June, 2010 : - - San Clemente -- The 33rd Annual National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) National Open Championships returns to the site of its inaugural event: the Huntington Beach Pier in Surf City U.S.A. Tuesday, June 29-Saturday, July 3.

This event marks the culmination of the 2009-10 NSSA competition season drawing the country's top amateur surfers to the Southern California coast hungry to compete for a coveted National Title.

Hundreds of surfers from the NSSA's eight regional conferences in the United States will be competing over nine intense and fun-filled days with National Champions being crowned in 29 separate categories. As such, this contest provides a platform not only for NSSA's rising stars, but also for determined up-and-comers that are hungry to prove themselves in a variety of different categories.
